Canada: Lakeport Brewing launches Lakeport Light 6-pack at LCBO

Lakeport Brewing Income Fund announced on September 29 that the impressive growth of Lakeport Light in The Beer Store has enabled it to negotiate the launch of this popular brand in a convenient 6-pack bottle at the LCBO.

"We want to bring the great taste and fair price of Lakeport Light to shoppers at the LCBO. The 6-pack size will provide LCBO customers the opportunity to discover the exceptional quality, great taste, and fair price of Lakeport Light," said Teresa Cascioli, Chair & Chief Executive Officer. "We believe that Lakeport Light is the fastest-growing Light beer in Ontario. It has been a runaway success at The Beer Store and by offering it through the LCBO, we expect to extend this popularity to more consumers. At the same time, we also will begin offering the convenient 6-pack of Lakeport Light at The Beer Store, where it will continue to be also available in the 12- and 24-pack bottle formats."

The Lakeport Light 6-pack will sell for $6.85 plus deposit at both the LCBO and The Beer Store outlets. Lakeport Light is a 4% alcohol by volume full-flavored lager.

On August 8, 2005, Lakeport announced the introduction at the LCBO, of its popular Lakeport Honey Lager in the 6-pack bottle format, also introducing the new size format at The Beer Store where it was already available in 12- and 24-bottle packs. The 6-packs of Lakeport Honey Lager sell for $6.85 plus deposit. Lakeport Honey Lager is a 5% alcohol by volume lager with just a hint of honey that provides a fresh distinctive flavour with an exceptionally smooth finish.
